Memorial Service for Betty Yates, Bewdley
(13/04/2012)
The memorial service for Betty Yates will take place next Wednesday, 18 April at midday at St. Anne's Church, Bewdley.
Journalists are welcome to attend the service, but the family please ask that no photographers are present inside the church. The best opportunity for photos will be on the pavement across the road from the entrance to St. Anne's. There will be a TV camera in church capturing the service. This will be operated by ITV Central on a pool arrangement.
Orders of service will be available on the day, along with copies of the tributes being given. The family themselves will not be giving interviews or making any statement.
As parking in and around Bewdley Town Centre is limited West Mercia Police are advising people attending the memorial service to get there early.
Anyone not attending but planning to travel through the town centre Wednesday may want to consider using the A456 Bewdley bypass or an alternative route between 11am and 1.30pm to avoid traffic congestion before and after the service.
