Come and learn how to meditate and to find peace and fulfilment from stillness and silence!
EVERYONE IS WELCOME - no particular religious affiliation necessary.
There is no charge for this event - donations welcome.

Candlemas Evensong & Concert

6:00pm, Stocksbank Road, Mirfield, West Yorkshire

The Community of the Resurrection, Mirfield will sing evensong of Candlemas, enjoy a wine and cheese celebration and then return to church for an evening of music provided by friends - this will include the new organ, a string quartet, a brass ensemble, a clarinet recital, and some singing reminiscent of the Last Night of the Proms.

Come and savour an atmosphere of tranquillity each Monday of our lovely historic church and churchyard.  Light a candle in memory of a loved one or Just come in for some quiet time in church

Also a Nearly new book sale every 2nd Monday in the month, together with DVD, CD. Videos, jigsaw all 5 for £1 also New hand made cards for all events, wrapping paper and crafts from 5 for a £1.

WEDNESDAY 27 July, 1pm - Flute music with Emily Moseley, Zoe Marklew and Alastair Moseley

Lunch will precede lunchtime concerts.  Entrance to all concerts is free, though a retiring collection will be taken for the Church's General Funds.

  A Trip down Memory Lane - Monday the 13th of February 2012, 10-12pm.

An opportunity for residents to take a trip down memory lane.  Residents will have the unique chance to handle authentic memorabilia spanning every decade from yesteryear.
This will be a  chance for Sharing and stirring memories, perhaps long forgotten

  • Ø Songs, old sayings and anecdotes encouraged to recite
