What's happening near you during the 10 days between Ascension Day and Pentecost?
Thy Kingdom Come is a prayer initiative taking place between Ascension Day on 25 May and Pentcost on 4 June. There are major celebrations happening in Worcester and Dudley, but many local churches are also holding their own prayer events. Here are a few of the events happening.
Bromsgrove (& Redditch)
Friday 26 May, 9am - Morning Prayer at St. Stephens Church in Redditch
Saturday 27 May, 2pm - Prayer Scatter Walks Starting from St. Stephens in Redditch
Tuesday 30 May, 7pm - Prayer for Redditch at St. Stephens
Thursday 1 June, 1pm - Prayer at St Peter’s, Ipsley
Friday 2 June, 6pm till 6pm Saturday 3rd June - 24 hours of prayer at St. Philips, Webheath
Thursday 25 May, 7.30pm - Ascension Day Service with bonfire & BBQ at St Augustine’s Church
Tuesday 30 May, 9am-9pm - Prayer day at St Andrew’s (or home) - Sign up for an hour slot to pray at St Andrew’s Church (or join in at home).
Thursday 1 June, 9.30am Holy Eucharist with extended prayer at St Augustine’s Church
Thursday 1 June, 9.30am, 12noon Quiet Hour at Martin Church – After a few thoughts to help us focus, we will spend an hour in quiet prayer together.
Thursday 1 June, 9.30am, 7.30pm Prayer & Worship Evening at St Nicholas’ Church - An evening of contemporary worship and prayer.
Saturday 3 June, 10am - Churches Together in Droitwich Prayer Walk - There will be two groups starting from Westlands Community Centre and from Sacred Heart Church, praying around our community, going to each of our Droitwich Churches and finishing together in Victoria Square.

Monday 29 May, midday - 4pm - Crown East Church open for prayer
Monday 29 May, 7pm - Prayers followed by Compline at Wichenford church.

Tuesday 30 May, 10.30am - Service with special prayers followed by refreshments at Broadwas

Friday 2 June, 10am - prayer walk around the stations at St. Edburga, Leigh followed by coffee and cake (prayer stations will be in church throughout the 10 day period)
Thursday 25 May - Saturday 4 June, 10am - 4pm - Prayer walk around Pershore Abbey organised by the Deanery (with 10 different prayer stations)
Saturday 3 June, 10am – midday - Family prayer stations at St. Thomas' Church.
Thursday 25 May, 7.30pm - St Mary's Stanford Ascension Day service using hymns and chants from the Iona tradition
Friday 26 May, 7.30pm at St Mary's Stanford - A Retreat in Daily Life led by Roman Catholic Max Jourdier (a Roman Catholic) using Imaginative Contemplation is explained and the "Review of the Day" or "Examen" ( the one prayer Ignatius told his Jesuits to stick to even if they had time for nothing else).
Wednesday 31 May, 7.30 pm at St Mary's Stanford - A time of prayer drawing on the insights of Freedom Church in Worcester.
Friday 2 June, 7.30 pm at St Mary's Stanford - worship using Taizé resources
Wednesday 31 May, 4.30-7pm, St George’s Barbourne are planning a Prayer Walk around the Boundary of their parish stopping at various timed and named places to pray for concerns in that area.
