Malvern Hill crawl

Calling all crawlers!  St James Primary School and the Noah’s Ark Trust have teamed up to encourage us to crawl to the top of the Worcestershire Beacon to help raise money for them. St James is trying to raise money for a major building project, and Noah’s Ark is in constant need of funds in order to continue its great work in supporting children, young people and families who have been recently bereaved.

The Bishop of Worcester, the Rt Revd Dr John Inge, is supporting the crawl, which follows the path of a monk, who according to an ancient legend, crawled daily from Little Malvern Priory to the top of the Ragged Stone Hill.  He said,

‘I am delighted to support St James Primary School and the Noah’s Ark Trust in this valiant ‘Red Knee’ event.  Church schools provide a wonderful service to their communities and the efforts of those involved in the crawl will provide much needed support for the great work done by both St  James' School and the Noah’s Ark Trust.’

Crawlers will meet on Sunday September 6th at 2pm in the West of England car park between West Malvern and the Wyche, and the crawl is expected to take about an hour.  There will then be a bbq at the Brewer’s Arms, West Malvern.  If you would like to join in, you will be asked to contribute £5.  Sponsor forms can be downloaded from www.redkneesday.co.uk. or you can donate at www.justgiving.co.uk/redknees1 or www.justgiving.co.uk/redknees2
