Anyone aged between 11 and 20 is invited to the Old Palace (next to Worcester Cathedral) on Saturday 23 September to share worship and tea with other young Christians from across Worcestershire. This year’s Walk the Walk event will look at how we communicate with each other and with God, and is an excellent opportunity to meet other young people as well as put your difficult questions to the Bishop of Worcester!
The event is organised by Worcester Diocese Youth Council. Chair Trevor Wooldridge says: “Walk the Walk is always lots of fun and we’d encourage anyone to come along – whether you are a regular church-goer or are ‘just looking’. There are a wide range of different sessions for people to take part in, as well as ‘ice-breaker’ games and a time of worship.”
Following last year’s success, Drum Love is back at the event by popular demand and participants will be able to investigate communication through music, drama and prayer. The event costs just £2 and anyone attending should also bring some food for the shared tea. The fun starts at 1pm and under-18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
“We are expecting around a hundred young people to come along and fill the lawns of the Old Palace,” continued Trevor. “Everyone on the Youth Council is very excited about the event, but we need people to come from across the diocese to make it a success! Please download the form from our website and let us know that you’ll be there.”
