'Finchley'

There’s only one place to find out what being a young Christian is all about on 6 September as bands from across the country gather to rock Worcester Cathedral. There’ll be a mixture of Christian and non-Christian live bands and alternative worship, dispelling the myth for once and for all that being a Christian is boring!

The line-up includes Liverpool based rockers ‘Finchley’, the superb ‘Dan Haynes’, ‘Relentless Craving’, ‘The Fans of Faye’ and Worcestershire’s very own ‘Formal Affair’. Anyone is welcome to come along – tickets are just £3 and are available from the cathedral as well as a number of other venues around the diocese.

Sarah Brush is Youth Officer for the Diocese of Worcester and has helped to the Diocesan Youth Council organise the event. She said: “As Christians, our lives are about more than just going to church on a Sunday morning – sometimes we really let our hair down and have some fun! This promises to be a really great night. It’s a brilliant opportunity to find out what it means to be a young Christian today and show your friends that we don’t just sing hymns from before the Ice Age!”
