A mystical adventure story set in and around Worcester Cathedral, The Legend of Aranrhod, written by Geoff Anderson, a retired vicar from Bewdley now living in Worcester, has won first prize in a national competition to find which self-published books have been the most successfully marketed in 2008. In its first year, the book has now sold nearly 1,200 copies, which is four times the average lifetime sales figure of self-published novels.

The book is the tale of three children who become caught in a battle with evil demons trying to destroy the world. They are racing against time to find the magical and biblical Aaron’s Rod and it’s a journey filled with suspense, danger and deceit – as well as terrible jokes!

Geoff is currently on a book signing tour around the country; more at http://aranrhod.wordpress.com.
