‘Thank you. If ever a whole city could be said to be loving and supportive, it could be said of Worcester. We have been truly overwhelmed by all the cards and messages of prayers, love and support from the city’s churches and mosques; from people of all faiths and of none, from families, from friends and neighbours, and especially from the young people of Worcester. We can’t imagine how we will ever be able to thank everyone for their support, but please know that these messages mean so much to us. If people are able to attend the Cathedral service on Monday 13th July at 1.30pm, we would love to see them there. We know that Tony is at peace within God’s love’. Duncan and Ellie Ballard ENDS. The Diocese of Worcester is one of 44 dioceses in the Church of England. It covers an area of 671 square miles and includes parishes in the County of Worcestershire, the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley, and a few parishes in northern Gloucestershire, south east Wolverhampton and Sandwell. |
