On Thursday 30th June from 10.00am until 2.30pm local primary schools will be participating in a special educational event entitled JC Today at Pershore Abbey.
JC Today focuses on Jesus Christ and Christian worship and symbols and is organised by the Diocese of Worcester. The event will offer the children a series of workshops on worship and symbols and contributes to the Religious Education syllabus followed in schools. The workshops will include ones on making altar frontals, drama, dance, drumming and song and these will lead into a Eucharist Service in the afternoon. These events are hosted in churches throughout the diocese and have become very popular with local schools.
