Free family fun at Worcester Cathedral

Love being Messy? FREE HALF TERM ACTIVITIES FOR FAMILIES AT THE CATHEDRAL There will be something going on every day in the Cathedral during half term- family trails, climb the tower, guided tours but on Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 February 2017 the focus will be on introducing MESSY CHURCH to families . Already many churches in Worcester and the across the county are running regular Messy Church Sessions and to them new participants will be directed. Messy Church is a fast growing arm of the Christian church where families learn and worship through ‘messy activity’ – craft, making and doing, enjoying learning together as families and groups. At the cathedral the focus will be on Much Loved Bible Characters and Stories with a range of fun and literally messy activities around the cathedral. These sessions will run from 10.30am -12.30pm and 2.00pm-4.00pm and booking is not necessary. The Dean commented “This is an exciting new way for people of all ages to learn about their Christian heritage and faith. We hope many who enjoy this will seek out places nearer to home where Messy Church is already established.” For further details contact the Education Officer, Sara Hayward on 01905 732934 or by email: sarahayward@worcestercathedral.org.uk
