Welcome to the Department of Training and Development. In the following pages you will find information about pathways into various kinds of ministry, in-service training opportunities and deepening Christian discipleship. The DTD is also responsible for two lending libraries ,the Evangelism and Church Growth task group: you will find information about these and much more in the Resources page.
Let's introduce the Team:
Robert Jones
Robert Jones heads up the department and has particular responsibility for Clergy Continuing Ministerial Development, lay training and discipleship. This includes the Bishop's Certificate and the Authorised Lay Ministry programme. Together with Alan Hughes he also helps resource the Stewardship Task Group and the Giving for Life programme. He is available to lead parish vision days.

Director of Ordinands
Georgina Byrne is Diocesan Director of Ordinands, as well as being a Residentiary Canon at the Cathedral. She looks after potential ordinands through selection and training, and is responsible for Initial Ministerial Development. She is the person to contact if you feel you have some sort of calling to some sort of ministry in the Church, and will help you with the discernment process.email: ;
Sheila Banyard is full-time Rural Dean of Droitwich, but is also involved in the work of the DTD as Warden of Reader
