Thanks from Peru
Following the launch of the CD 'Songs for Peru' which was made to help to raise funds for Anglican schools in Peru, some of the pupils sent their thanks to the Diocese of Worcester. Here is a selection of them:
'Our Bishop, William, Godfrey, the priests in charge of the schools, the head teachers , teachers, pupils and parents with much love from Peru, thank Bishop John and all the people of the Diocese of Worcester for their different iniciatives and especially for the CD "Canción para el Perú" Song for Peru which is helping with funding for our educational institutions. From Arequipa el Colegio Anglicano San Lucas reflects their thanksgiving with prayers and blessings. Father Juan Carlos, Director Jorge, teachers and pupils'.

They are displaying the cover of the CD which they have made their own to reflect our friendship and alliance.

'The smallest of our schools have a peculiar way of offering their thanks. It's by means of colours and gestures certainly guided by their teachers but an innitiave from themselves. The colours express joy; the name of Bishop John illustrated through the medium of blocks, contains a puzzle where the final figure is the gratitude for the generosity. Their hands in movement are a "hello" of welcome to the sharing and the effort of our little brothers in the Diocese of Worcester because we know they have all put a lot of love into helping everyone'.

'The school of Christ the Redeemer in south Lima are united in thanks for the noble help of the Diocese of Worcester, These, the smallest together with their teaching assistants and teacher Erika and supervised by the Headteacher Isabel Montoya represent a very fundamental work in early education in that area and without the help of Bishop John and the programmes of his brotherhood, it would be very difficult to provide the fundamental things for this educational institution. For all of this a thousand thank yous in the name of the Lord Jesus'.

'Our children from the Anglican school of the Holy trinity, located in the south of Lima offer their thanks (in the language of children) for the help which the Diocese of Worcester realised out of the brotherly love for our schools in Peru. They offer Bishop John the thanks of all. Without his generosity it would be difficult to continue in education'.
