Cathedral rocks to sound of music
"ROCKERS from across Worcestershire and beyond came to Worcester to ‘Rock the Cathedral' on Saturday, 25th September, 2010.
Hundreds of young people from across the county attended the bi-annual event, organised by the Diocesan Youth Council, which brought together local and national Christian bands to show a different side of the church.
Both local and nationally renowned bands, such as Bosh and Superhero, performed at the event, and videos put together by different youth groups were shown during intervals, while comedian and magician Matt Pritchard provided entertainment.
Young people also had the chance to learn circus skills or spend time in the quiet zone in the crypt, while adults spent time in the ‘adult creche'.
Chairman Jon Pedley said: "We had an incredible audience this year and the participation was amazing.
"The young people brought a real vibrancy and energy to the cathedral which was a great reflection of the life of the Church today." Worcester News 28th September 2010
